Coriolanus

Having finished my studies at Birmingham Ormiston Academy, I am co-directing Shakespeare’s Coriolanus at the Old REP in Birmingham on July 11th 2019. This is a double bill with Titus Andronicus. Our production is highly physical, gritty, and has just as much to say now as it did when it was written. We are using an entirely Eminem soundtrack which brings out the punch and aggression of this play, as well as forming the combat and scenery out of wooden sticks, which enables a fast paced and dynamic feel to the piece whilst providing great visuals. It’s been great taking a lead choreographing the movement of this piece, and so beautiful to watch the performers learn and grow as they continue to tackle this challenging piece! Due to an injury in the cast of Titus Andronicus, I am also understudying the part of ‘Demetrius’ in that play. Tickets are on sale on the Old REP’s website “What’s On”- “These Violent Delights”– Book for the 11th. See you there!
