Caliban- The Tempest- (2018)

Photos of my performance as Caliban in Shakespeare’s The Tempest at the Old REP theatre 2018. Our interpretation of Caliban was highly animalistic (see self tapes), so it was fascinating studying the physicality and voice of this character to create an incredibly extreme, yet truthful, performance. This inspired a later interest in Animal Flow and some Jacques Lecoq inspired techniques to explore characters through animals, on which I have delivered workshops on several occasions. I was awarded ‘best male classical actor’ for this performance upon graduating from BOA.
